EMBQA...I think you are correct. He seems to bring it to SAT on a regular basis. I assume its MX as well.

I saw it here about this time last year then again during the NBA playoffs. I think there is a company that does 707 maintence here in SAT. if you drive the road along the fence on the far side of the terminal. I wanna say its called broadway but I am not positive, if you look over you will see a couple 707s parked almost any time of the year. along with a pretty good view of the freight ramp, typically a Fedex A300 and an ABX DC-8.

If you hang out around the airport hes hard to miss when he is flying around, all the smoke is a give away and the noise is also a giveaway.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Boeing has a facility at the old Kelly AFB that does refurbish & upgrade work on older aircraft.

Yep, Boeing does have a facility at Kelly USA doing engine work on KC-10, KC-135 and one or two others.

I believe the name of the facility at the San Antonio airport is called Seven Q Seven Industries which specializes in the type of powerplants that power this plane.

ToBEY-

I first started seeing his 707 up in BGR during the summer of 1997, so I'm guessing it was around that point he picked it up. He has a summer home in Maine, and is a frequent visitor to BGR with his Boeing 707 and Gulfstream G-2B.

There is a huge Dee Howard airfcraft maintenance hanger at SAT and I always see a lot of aircrafts that are not scheduled passenger flights here. I have unfortunately never seen JT's 707, I guess I have never been around that area around those times.

I usually see Saudi Arabian aircraft (MD11), Malaysian Airlines (either 777 or MD11) on a couple of occasions, a couple of Tower Air's 747 and then several unmarked 747's with an all white fuselage and tail.

VectorVictor

You are right there is a facility with this name (Seven Q Seven), and there is a couple of 707 parked around their hangar.

TLIMA

As last Friday, (2/6) JT's 707 was parked along the fence on Wetmore St.
It's so close to the fence that we can see how shine is this plane.

Cheers

EMBQA mentioned JT's summer home in Maine. I believe his winter home is in Florida http://www.jumbolair.com

BTW, when using the spell checker, the computer suggested replacing "JT's" with "jet's." Ironic, isn't it?
