DC-10 Levo, an A319 will indeed be based at LBA when the F100's go as it will be needed for the services to LHR. Not sure which route will see the first A319 though.

Just read that bmi's A319 will be available for the 2004 summer schedules commencing March 28 2004. The airline will be operating an all Airbus fleet of 28 aircraft both in its long haul and short haul main line operations.

From another site: G-DBCA on order - Due 24 Feb 04. Due in service on 05 Mar 04.

bmi are replacing two Embraer-145s with two Fokker 100s at LBA for the start of the summer season. They will operate to EDI, GLA and CDG and do some of the JER flights on Saturdays.

The existing LHR based Fokker100 which nightstops at LBA to do the LHR run will continue and is unlikely to be replaced by a A319 in the short-term

So 3 x Fokker100, 1 x Emb-145 and 1 x Emb-135 is the current plan for Summer 04.

All subject to change of course.

EGNM-LBA,

That's fantastic news regarding more capacity from LBA.  Smile

Never thought we'd ever have something as large as F100's operating LBA-GLA/EDI.

...and F100s on Saturday afternoon flights over the Summer.

GLA will get a regular A319 on the last Saturday flight, nightstopping then doing the Sunday morning trip down to LHR, for the Summer period.

I think one of the Saturday morning flights is also with the A319, when I booked my flights to LHR for the airliners.net LHR bash in April one of the choices I got was the BMI A319.

Regards,
Gordon.
