Here are some more details, released by AA today, on the new AS/AA codeshare expansion.
As previously announced on these boards, AA will place thier codes on the following AS flights starting Sunday:
PDX-LAX
SEA-GEG
SEA-ANC
SEA-LAX
AS will expand thier codeshare on AA flights by placing thier codes on the following AA flights:
LAX-AUS
LAX-FLL
LAX-EWR
LAX-JFK
LAX-STL
LAX-IAD
LAX-HNL
LAX-LIH
LAX-OGG
LAX-KOA
STL-SEA
American Airlines will increase service in the following markets as a result of the codeshare:
6th daily ORD-SEA eff. 01May04
6th daily DFW-PDX eff. 10Jun04
10th daily DFW-SEA eff. 10Jun04
3rd daily ORD-PDX eff. 10Jun04
2nd daily BOS-SEA eff. 10Jun04
8th daily LAX-SFO eff. 10Jun04
More news to come. Rumours include a second daily JFK-SEA service and a new AA-operated MIA-SEA service.

To add to this I heard yesterday that Seattle Corp. office is having the larger station look at the financial feasibility of moving to closer gate and/or sharing gates in some cities. San Francisco has been exploring the possible move to the E concourse in terminal 3.

IF they move to Terminal 3, what will happen to the AS Boardroom in SFO? Also, is the codeshare with AA stronger than that with NW?

ALASKA AIRLINES, HORIZON AIR AND AMERICAN AIRLINES
FINALIZE CODESHARE AGREEMENT
SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air and American Airlines finalized a new codeshare agreement that will ultimately provide Alaska and Horizon customers’ access to more than 100 new destinations served by American.
Starting February 15, Alaska and Horizon will have their “AS” code on American Airlines flights between Seattle and St. Louis and between Los Angeles (LAX) and the following points: Austin, Fort Lauderdale, Newark, New York’s Kennedy Airport, St. Louis, Washington’s Dulles Airport, Honolulu, Kona, Lihue and Maui.
In exchange, American will place its “AA” code on Alaska and Horizon flights within the western United States and Pacific Northwest, an area of the country where American has limited presence, as well as between select transcontinental routes. In total, 30 new destinations will become available to American Airlines customers once the codeshare is fully implemented.
“For Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air customers, our expanded partnership with American Airlines is all about more destinations, more frequency and more choice of service than ever before,” said Gregg Saretsky, executive vice president of marketing and planning for Alaska. “It benefits passengers by providing a broader range of travel options and strengthens three great carriers with a shared commitment to customer service.”
“We’re excited to bring more new destinations to our customers,” said Henry Joyner, American’s senior vice president-planning. “These additional destinations will help both business and leisure customers more conveniently fly American. One of the things our customers value about American Airlines is the breadth of our route network. With the launch of our expanded codeshare with Alaska, an already exceptional structure will get even better.”
The relationship not only benefits customers, but it’s also a cost-effective means of generating new traffic and competing more effectively against airlines that already have larger codeshare networks in place.
American and Alaska will continue to offer the ability to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles on one another, a relationship that they’ve had since 1999.

Precisely Shocked we don't see MIA-SEA in there. AA operated it in the past with a 763 (I'm sure the MIA guru above could help with that one). I'm sure there is really enough premium traffic in my mind to warrant another flight between those markets. You gotta be thinking that next on the drawing board for AA are MIA-PHX, SEA, and possibly SAN.

Any expectation that AA may move from the D concourse into the B or C Concourse at PDX so they can be alongside AS? Seems like AS doesn't need all the gates it has on B and C.
