I was reading an interview in a magazine yesterday. Express Voyages was interviewing an OS representative regarding the OS seasonal (summer only) operation in Montreal. When asked about the OS operation for winter 2004/2005, the OS representative mentioned that the airline will only be flying to YUL during the summer months (summer 2004 starting in March, no service during winter 2004/2005 and they will be back for the summer of 2005). The comment pertaining to OS passengers for the winter 2004/2005 was: Passengers will be connecting to Vienna on LH's YUL-FRA flights and/or on AC's YUL to CDG-LHR flights. No mention of AC's YUL-FRA flights.
Could LH take over the YUL-FRA operation next winter?

Concerning OS, I heard the same. They are also considering VIE-YUL on a year-round basis for 2006 but I don't see this happening because of LH's MUC-YUL. LH would probably go 7x daily (instead of 5x daily) on that route during winter before OS even get a chance to to do VIE-YUL 2 or 3 times a week.
As for AC's YUL-FRA transfered to LH, I haven't heard about it What type of plane would operate in this route? I think the new A346 might be a candidate but they are probably scheduled on routes with high business pax... So maybe one of the new A333 then?

Hi Mark, I understand what you are saying...But no, they are not mentioning the fact that AC/LH have code share via FRA from YUL. They are clearly saying that passengers will be offered three options: From YUL via FRA on LH , from YUL via CDH and LHR on AC or to VIE on OS via YYZ. . No mention of code share AC/LH via FRA from YUL. AC being a Star Alliance partner, they would have mentioned connections on AC via LHR, CDG and FRA from YUL. Why mention via FRA on LH if AC will actually be flying the route?
There is no smoke without fire. We will see next winter.
