Even though it's never a pretty sight to see an aircraft being retired, but as a aviation enthusiast it does give me a warm feeling when an aircraft rests in the country it has served for many years, like this Aerolineas Argentinas 747-287B. Are there more aircraft parked/resting in a country it has served most of its flying time?

I agree with you. Gives the plane some more respect for the millions of safe takeoffs and landings its completed. On the contrary at Laurinburg-Maxton (MEB) in North Carolina - which is a very small town - there are quite of few planes that you question why they ended up resting there. For example, an Air France 707 (F-BHSP) and a Czech Airlines Llyushin ll-62. But, I totally agree with you.
