I'll be traveling DTW-SAN in 2 weeks and was wondering how the first class service and seats are on this flight. Anyone taken this before. Aircraft is A320. Thanks.

I flew SAN-MSP-LGA a few months ago in First Class. Expect a nice meal, including wine etc. They serve off a cart, unlike CO who brings it to you induvidually.
As far as in flight service, the seats are cloth and pitch isn't great. Also, there is no IFE so bring a laptop.

NW prefers it to be served off a cart to keep their service consistant, but some flight crews will bring the meals individaully to you. I don't think it really matters -- I prefer to get my meal quickly so I can fall asleep. If, for example, the flight crew on CO doesn't take your order beforehand, getting your meal can take a long time.

Pitch varies from aircraft to aircraft. The A320 have wide seats with about 36" pitch -- it's actually pretty good.
