DL/Song At TPA's Airside D?

A question for the TPA folks. What's up with this picture?

Notice that there is a Song 757 and a Delta MD-88 at Airside D. Does Delta have a lack of space at Airside E? I am assuming that this was just temporary storage when the picture was taken. I am kind of surprised that Delta would already be short of space at E. I thought they were largely involved with the design process of the new building since they occupy the most space in it. If they are in fact operating flights out of D, I think this would be the first time that an airline operted out of two different Airsides at TPA concurrently (excluding NW's international arrivals, when they served CUN and MBJ from TPA).

I was in TPA last month and both E and D had DL and song a/c at gates. It was at 11:00 A.M., possibly a rush hour. And security was a mess to get through there.

A real bum deal if you have a Delta Crown room membership, as D does not have a room.

It is used purely for parking, Delta/Song operate out of the beautiful new Airside E not the dump of D.  Big grin I can't wait for the new C to open, so we can close an era of TPA that needs to be left behind. Although we should salute that old Airside for over 30 years of Florida extremes.
