By the end of the week,

Air Canada will double YUL-FRA, with the addition of flight 834.

I assume that 834 will be a 767-300ER. The question is what happens to 874, we could lose the 74E (which I pray doesnt happen!).

AC will much double its trans-atlantic offering from YUL this summer.

Very good news. Although I do trust both you and your sources, I worry that AC will change their mind before the summer somes around. Looks like the gates will be busy this summer for AC International.

For the BEY fans,

you will be happy to know that this flight number 834/835, is the designated number for the BEY flights  Sad

Maybe next year?

Hey FLYYUL,

that's what I told you last week.
My Info is that both 74Es will go to YYZ, YUL will have 2 763s.
One reason for that might be the late departure of AC877 in FRA which is around 5PM. There are not many connections in YYZ so AC will rely heavily on the cargo.
Cheers

Mark,
You are right...
834/5 are the designated Beirut flights

Looks like, they will team up with LH once again this yeatr to provide connections to BEY just like they did last year.....

But LH is not adding any flights to BEY.

YEGBEY,

There is no evidence that AC834/AC835 will be teamed up with LH.

I think AC is just giving up on BEY in general. Thank you Canadian government.

We don't know that yet. LH still hasn't released their summer schedule. In addition to the additional flights for AC last year, they upgraded several of the flights to A300-600Rs from A320s.

Irregardless,

AC only promoted the via FRA with LH option because the Canadian govt gave them 6 million dollars to do so.

This year, its not the same. Im sure OS and AF and LH and MS and KL will love this  Big thumbs up

Ah well. If that's what it really is, hopefully they'll come around by '05. As Dave said it's going to be plenty busy 'nuff at YUL already for overseas service this summer, what with the new pier not being ready yet and the southwest part of the aéroquay probably getting put out of commission, to boot.

AC never promoted the via FRA with LH option. The LH flights were extra sections to get AC pax to BEY because the direct flight was not allowed by the Canadian government.

AC promoted it for pax already booked before the cancellation was in effect.

AC promoted it to passengers before they knew the flights were going to be cancelled. That makes sense.
