I've been thinking about how I have yet to fly on an MD-80, and with Delta and American Airlines flying a lot of the type, I find it interesting that I've yet to be on those. So I ask, what airliners that are (or were) in common use, have you, for whatever reason, never had a chance to fly.
Note that common should be common for your country/route/age, e.g. Caravelles were common in Europe but not in the States after UAL got rid of them. Ilyushin's and Tupelovs are of course common, but unfortunately, not where I fly. Thus I couldn't write down a TU-134 or an IL-62, or a Trident, (I *have* flown on a Caravelle.)
So here's my list
F-100 (gonna try to fly on American's if they still use them to YYZ when I go in March)
I may be ugly. I may be an American. But don't call me an ugly American.

I haven't been on any regional jets, nor have I been on any DC-9s, DC-10s, MD-11s, A300s, A310s, A330s or Fokker F-28/F-70/F-100s. I have been on A320s but not on any of the newer variants like the A319 and the A321. I haven't been on any 737-800s or -900s either as of yet.

delta. don't know why. even though i'm a skymile member because my parents got that i've never flown delta. guess i'm going to have to. it's not fair that they're reaping the rewards points off all the cash i spent on flying though!

Let's see, I've never flown on any Embraer product (and I'm not exactly sad about that). I've also never flown the A-340, 318, 319, or DC-8 (but that was a bit before my time). I think thats pretty much it.

I agree on the 777, I would love to fly in one! I was setting myself up to fly home after living in England on United Airlines, taking a 777 through LHR-ORD and then a connection to YYZ. But a friend managed to get me onto a sold-out non-stop Air Canada flight, and I couldn't really refuse because it saved me almost a hundred quid. It was my first flight on an A340 though!
And, I would love to fly in a 747...hopefully on the upper deck.

Never been on any of the A320 family. I almost did when I went to Chicago O'Hare from Washington National Airport on United, but they changed the aircraft to a 727 (which I had already flown before) at the last minute. I was pretty angry...

The big one that I missed was the Tristar and that looks less and less likely as each day passes.
I've not been on many regional prop types either, but I've been on many ERJ's which are my preferred types.

Well, I have yet to fly
Boeing 737-200 Combi
I guess the most common out of these five types will be Boeing 717, used quite widely these days by Air Tran, Hawaiian, and Midwest. I get to book myself on an Air Tran soon... it will be an interesting experience.
