This last saturday at 3:20 p.m. I saw what I think was a China Airlines 747-200 or 747SP climbing out of Seatac. It looked like it had a large red-pink flower on the tail and blue sripes near the nose. I have no knowledge of this particular airline flying to SEA. Does anyone have ideas? I know that it wasn't a BA 747 with Chelsea Rose tail because it didn't look like it and the single BA flight to London leaves SEA at 6:10 p.m.

It sounds like it was China airlines. I could be BA which could have been a chartered flight. But it does sound more like the China deal. I really do not like that new look!

China Airlines doesn't fly to Seattle but it could have a British Airways aircraft but probally just leaving late or something. The only Chinesse airlines to fly to Seattle are EVA Air and China Eastern but I think China Eastern Airlines cancelled flights there.

From the description it's a China Airlines 747. Althught they don't have regular passenger service to SEA, could it be a freighter? China Airlines does have a few 747-200 freighters.
