Delta has reclaimed its No.1 position for domestic enplanements in October. According to October traffic data released last week by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics, DL bumped Southwest Airlines, which held the No. 1 position in September. DL boarded 6.7 million passengers in October, topping Southwest’s 6.3 million passengers. The industry totaled 49.5 million domestic passenger enplanements for the month. This report also confirmed that Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport remains the No.1 domestic airport in terms of passenger enplanements with more than 3.1 million passengers boarded in October. The airports that followed also maintained their positions with Chicago-O’Hare ranking second with 2.3 million passengers, and Dallas/Fort Worth ranking third with 1.9 million passengers.
