It will make no difference - while some pax may be happy not to be flying on BA 223, in reality, it may add to the risk. BA 223, for some reason, was the subject of some type of terrorist threat on several days in the past couple of months........but atleast the authorities knew which flight was being targeted and could take some action. A change of flight number may ADD to the confusion and not allow a clear reference.......who knows?
The good news is that nothing happened, expect a few inconvenieced passengers.

Also I have heard that the old departure time of 15:05 was a problem too.
Some how in some other document 1505 was a page number or paragraph number in some UN document that upset some people. So with the new flight number and the new 1500 departure time things might go smoother in the future.
