When Will Construction Of The 7e7 Begin?

Does Boeing have any firm (commited) orders from anyone? It seems to me like the 7e7 is off to a slow start.

Also, when does Boeing plan to build its first 7e7? Do they need a certain amount of firm orders to continue with this project?

When the airshow season is over this year and they have no orders, then you can say it's off to a slow start. They just received permission to offer it as a product. Even the A380 didn't sell the day Airbus decided to offer it.

Boeing says that assembly will begin in 2005, with first flight in 2007 and first delivery in 2008. Hope it all stays on schedule as I can't wait to see the new bird!
