Folks, you won't believe this. The TSA has reprimanded a TSA screener at DEN and disciplined screeners at other airports for...running their bodies through the screener machines to see what their brains looked like! The full story was reported on KUSA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Denver. The full article is at http://www.9news.com/storyfull.aspx?storyid=24705. You could accuse me of making this up, but I'm not that creative!

Thousands Standing Around still continues to amaze me. They dont seem to be professional despite being government employees. I think the TSA got their screeners from The Ringling Bros. Circus at every airport. Hope one of these days I'll be able to witness Thousands Standing Around doing more lame stuff...maybe try jumping into a running CFM-56 engine and see if he/she comes out alive?? Uhh not cool! LMAO!!!

And these Yahoos are better then the previous security contractors in WHAT way?

At least with the private contractors you could fire them.

Did they locate their brains and, if so, in what part of their bodies?

MTChemNerd757, did you read this part of the article?

As for the screeners’ health, the manufacturers of the x-ray equipment say the exposure is actually too low to hurt anyone. They say a chest x-ray at a hospital would be 50 times stronger than an x-ray from an airport system.

Since Thousands Standing Around are so board, they now are screening themselves. Very sad.

I heard about this on the radio earlier.. Were there any ill effects given to the scanned person???? Not that, being a TSA employee, he could lose much..
