Ok.

This summer I am flying to Poland for vacation. I found a pretty good deal to Warsaw, but I need to get to Wroclaw, so I decided that I would just buy the additional ticket. This is the plan:

LTU International Airlines
June 18
Toronto – Dusseldorf
Departure – 19:00
Arrival – 08:30
TTNF – 01:45

LOT Polish Airlines
June 19
Dusseldorf – Warsaw
Departure – 10:15
Arrival – 12:05
TTNF – 04:10

EuroLOT S.A.
June 19
Warsaw – Wroclaw
Departure – 16:15
Arrival – 17:25

_________________________________________________________________

EuroLOT S.A.
August 3
Wroclaw – Warsaw
Departure – 05:35
Arrival – 06:25
TTNF – 01:15

LOT Polish Airlines
August 3
Warsaw – Dusseldorf
Departure – 07:40
Arrival – 09:35
TTNF – 05:10

LTU International Airlines
August 3
Dusseldorf – Toronto
Departure – 14:45
Arrival – 17:00

*TTNF = Time 'Til Next Flight

Now what I need to know is do I have enough time to get off, collect my bags, check in and do everything that I'll need to do to get from A to B.

Also, will I need to pick up my bags and then recheck them on the DUS - WAW - WRO and WRO - WAW - DUS legs? Also, will I have enough time to do this, and have them put on the same flight?

Is 1 hour and 15 minutes enough time to do this if I do?

Is the itinerary ok? Or should I leave more time?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well, the 1h15 is fine because it is the same airline so you will probably just be checked through to DUS from Wroclaw (at least I assume its the same airline...maybe I am wrong, sorry if I am). The 1h45 would be the only one i'd be a little worried about With customs and LOT check in closing 1hr. before the flight, it MIGHT be tight with any delay. Odds are it will be fine since DUS isn't that big of an airport like LHR or FRA or someplace. I'd assume as long as the Wroclaw - Warsaw - Dusseldorf is all LOT, you'll be fine. Don't kill me if I am wrong though!

EuroLOT is a subsidiary airline of LOT Polish Airlines, so basically they are one airline. I hope this means that the baggage will be transferred without my having to pick it up and recheck it.

My guess is that you're transfering from within Poland and you wont be going through customs, it probably will be...just a guess though

Did you check Airpolonia.com...they are just starting a CDG-Wroclaw direct flight and have it as low as 11.45 Euro each direction!!! Almost seems too good to be true. I didn't go into the details, but here's the link

Be careful with DUS. I almost missed my flight to EWR one time due to a long inter-terminal bus transfer. But that was when CO flow the route and they may have just been pushed out into the boonies by the LH lobby.

Try shopping at Austrian and/or SAS for good deals into Wroclaw. Both airlines fly out of Toronto. Avoiding Warszawa airport will improve your travel experience considerably.

I am sorry, I was wrong in the post above. I messed up Wroclaw with Poznan.
Unfortunately, Austrian doesn't fly to Wroclaw and SAS doesn't fly to Toronto (or so it seems - strange!).
Your other choice is Lufthansa (ex FRA and MUC) or LOT. Maybe that LOT thing you found isn't all that bad.

Have you tried to book LOT from Toronto-Warsaw, and then just connect on LOT from Warsaw-Wroclaw? I would imagine that to be easier then connecting in DUS and having to switch airlines.

I think you will need to go through customs, because although the domestic and int'l terminals are in one building they are not "connected" toghether. So you have go through passports and co.

How much A is there is Airliners Net ? 0 or nothing ?

Ahem, please note he´s talking about a change from LTU to LOT and vice versa. On two tix, that is.

If there´s no delay, you´ll have loads of time - even if you have to collect your bags and re-check them. Don´t know that because I don´t know whether LO and LT interline.

If the LT flight to DUS is late though, you might be in trouble. Depending on the LO fare class, you risk losing the LO flights. LT won´t give a damn either because you´re on two different tix. It´s up to you taking that risk or not.
