I was wondering what kind of fleet US Airways would have today if they never signed a contract with Airbus. What would they have in the place of the A333s and the eventual A332s? Obviously they'd have a few 763s to go with the 762 but do you think that they would've opted for the 777, MD11 or DC10-30?
As far as the narrowbodies, I'm thinking they would've ordered the 737-700 and 800 in place of the A319/320 and more 757s in place of the 321.
What you all think?

Maybe some 717's to replace their DC9s, MD-80s, F-100s I'd imagine a fleet very similar to what CO has would have been case for USAir.

Having extra 757's around, instead of 321's, right now certainly would have helped them out. They could have flown some transatlantics like CO and AA will soon be doing.

I'm fairly positive they would not have opted for used DC-10s or MD-11s.
I also imagine they'd not have gone for more 757s. I'd say 739s where they have 321s, 738s for 320s, and 73Gs for the 319s (I may be stating the obvious).
They would also likely not have selected the 777, opting for the 767-400ER instead. A 767-300ER or -200ER component would likely have been part of any larger order.
I wouldn't imagine any 717s. The 717 would have been out of place with the 737s unless US needed a large fleet.
You'd likely have seen the same Embraer order, with the same subsequent cancellation of CRJ orders.

No one will be buying these aircraft after US is liquidated because it ain't gonna happen. They have a good plan, but it will take some time. Eventually US will have an all Airbus mainline fleet from what I have heard. The Express side will still have the ERJ/CRJ/170's from all the other carriers that make up the Express side. US will have their costs in order, yeah most will have to take a pay cut, but what would you rather have, a pay cut or no job. I'm taking the pay cut and the job. So what if you are not making $25 an hour but insted your making $15 an hour, hey your still making money, you just have to budget it a little better. It's not hard to do.

...."opting for the 767-400ER instead"..
I thought about that, but failed to mention it in my original post. I was thinking more on the lines of cargo room, that's why I mentioned the T7 and MD11 in contrast with the A330. I'm hoping that US uses all that cargo space in the A330 to make some amount of money...
..."I wouldn't imagine any 717s."....
I wouldn't neither. Sure they had to replace the DC9s and then the MD80s eventually, but without the A32X, they could've hung on to them. The same with the relatively young F100. These would've all been then replaced with 73Gs and 800s instead of the 717, I would imagine..
