Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

I am planning to buy 5 tickets on UA for travel AMS-IAD-AMS between april and may 2004. Since we do not have any discounts etc. I have to pay the full fares for that of almost euro 800,00 each incl. taxes. For me a lot of money... Now I know that the current status is not that stable financially for UA. Would I risk my money by choosing them? Would you choose an alternative flight?

I'm not a huge fan of United. I would take KLM whether or not UA was financially stable.

If you are worried about the financial stability of UA in terms of your flights, I wouldn't worry about it.

You can fly KL/NW for eur 490. I just check on Amadeus for you its an instant purchase ticket so you have to be quick.LH via FRA have a similar fare.
Hope this helps.

I'd say your money is safe!
Airlines in trouble need the support of the travelling public. If too many people think like this they will go down. Give them your money - they need it!

Lijnden, where did you find that fare ??? In last november I flew CDG-IAD-JFK for 330€ return (incl. taxes), and booked my ticket just a few days before departure on UA's website.
I'm just back from united.fr and found 523€ for a random date in april. Also found 450€ with CO, but not for a direct flight. The thing I'm sure is that you will get FF miles on every fare with UA, quite nice ! But don't blame me if it is the same thing with CO, I've never flew with them.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
Feel free to ask me if you want some info, be well !
