I just walked past the AirTran counter at SFO it seems as though their inbound flight 11 is seriously delayed because of mechanical problems in ATL. Can any AirTran employees shed some light?

I am not an FL employee, but I can shed some light.

The A320s SUCK!!!, They have severe reliability issues, They are USUALLY if not ALWAYS delayed. They just plain SUCK

A320s in general are GREAT aircraft, but the Ryan International ones are horrible. I can't wait until they get the 737-700s.

I took flight 11 back in December, and I got on the former MEA (Middle Eastern Airlines) operated A320. We were right on time that day, but the f/a's were saying that particular A320 aircraft was delay prone. Go figure.

Looking it up, apparently the flight was cancelled do to maintance and a gate return in ATL. The aircraft did fine coming from MCO earlier in the day. I have to feel for whoever was working that flight! Gotta love those old Ryan A320's! Luckily 104 days till the first delivery of the B737's!

Strange coincidence that I was just at SFO yesterday picking up a friend flying from MCO via ATL on flight 11.

Very poor signage at the Intl. Terminal for AirTran's flight, plus there were people waiting to get into Baggage Claim for several minutes until someone came along and unlocked it.

Was very cool seeing AirTran come right behind the Cathay Pacific 744 though!

I was kind of hoping that AirTran would introduce a better livery than that gross tan for their new 737s. As unique as it is, do you really think a brown and green plane looks good? Better than white I suppose.... Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Those 2 A320-232 were very reliable when operating for MEA. It must be that Ryan International is unable to take good care of them and maintain then.

You're right, the 320's are great aircrafts. If Ryan's planes are horrible, maybe that's bad maintenance? And 737-700 wouldn't make it better  Wink/being sarcastic

Remember the DC 10 problems in the 70's? Some of them fell from the sky like flies. Reason: bad maintenance in the U.S.

Stefandotde, the B737-700s will be operated by FL themselves, not Ryan.
