Anyone know why KU has a 3 class 320 layout? Anybody experience the different classes of service? It's mighty rare to have a 3 class layout on a modern day narrowbody. Some Russian aircraft are in a 3 class layout but other than that it's rare (1st, Biz, and Eco...nevermind Eco plus)

Kuwait is a v v v vrich country and has A 320s flying all over the Gulf and Northern Africa region and many rich Arab pax fly KU first class even on A 320s to these cities hence they have F and J class on their A 320s.

I think that GF too at one time had a 3 class A 320 layout?

GF definately had 3 class layouts on their A320's at one time. First Class was 3 rows of 2x2 seating. Business class was 4 rows of 2x3 seating, and of course Economy was 3x3 seating.

It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.

Yes GF definitely had a 3 class A320. I once flew it BAH-BOM back in 1999. There was no F so we business class passengers ended up in the F seats and the C seats were used to higher paying Y class passengers. I am pretty sure KU does this on a few routes as well. Don't know why they think they need a 3 class A320, but I guess the "few" routes with F pax are worth it.

The only aircraft missing from my KU list is the 320 so I can not comment on them, but I am pretty sure it is very similar to GF's.

GF is in the process of reconfiguring all their A320s into a normal 2-class layout as it would be more competitive, according to the airlines chairman. Maybe KU will follow?

Doubt it. This is KU were are talking about. They are not exactly known for their "good" management skills.  Laugh out loud
