Want to sit closest to the exit to be quickly off the plane to meetup with several others also transferring thru on connecting around the same time on flights into Denver.

Ideas on seat selection?

UA747 into DIA. Does UA use two ramps on 74s in DIA? Do they do anything crazy like access on access other than port side?

Thanks all.

Problem here is that you will never know if the ground crew and/or flight attendants will open L1 or L2 first. So, best to sit right behind L2 and make a dash for whatever opens first.

Well, the closest seats to door 2L are in business class...22A and B. There is nothing between you and the door on those seats. It doesnt get any quicker. Assuming you are in Y class, I would stay on the left side of the aircraft (seats A-E) on the aisle.

At DIA, the only UA gates that can handle a 744 are B32, B36 and B38. All of those gates should use both bridges, but depending on staffing levels at the time, only one door may be opened at a time. If its one door, it will be 2L.

If you are in F class, 5A would be the best seat to exit quickly. Behind door 1L, but also behind lavatories, is row 6 which is in business and also a fast exit.

Right side of the plane is almost NEVER used to pax use.
The right side is uaually for catering, and for loading cargo/luggages.
The only instance you might find pax boarding or deboarding from Right, is if one of those buses that are able to connect to the plane (something like the catering trucks - in EL AL they are called ELALIT) brings/takes pax.

Back to the original question, it also depends if you are flying F/B/Y. I guess if you are flying Y, try to get a seat as suggested on the right side (A-E, even F would do) and one of the first seats configurated in economy (Economy starts in row 32.
If in Business, don't worry you will probably be deplaned before the Y pax anyway.
CHECK OUT UA's 744 seatmap ...

In the previous post, in the second paragraph, i obviously meant to suggest:

...try to get a seat as suggested on the LEFT side (A-E, even F would do) and one of the first seats configurated in economy ...
