What is your fave special edition paint scheme!??

My personal fave has to be that of 9V-SPK and sistership 9V-SPL

Unfortunately, SPK was destroyed in Oct 2000 and the other "Tropical Megatop" SPL was re-painted in standard SQ colours!

I remember seeing and boarding SPK shortly before the incident in TPE...

The Tropical 747 was great!!... I miss seeing SPK and SPL at LHR!!  Sad

I like Wunala Dreaming personally, bright and probably one of the most photographed on this site!

Gulf Air's 50 years anniversary paint scheme. I managed to find at least 4 various designs, there could be more.

I think the best special paint scheme I ever see is from Thai Airways "Royal Barge" livery.Which included the following:

1. A330-322-HS-TEK
2. B747-4D7 HS-TGO
3. B747-4D7-HS-TGJ

Have to go with the AA retro 737 and 757. Reminded me of going to ORD as a kid to pick up my father from business trips.

Definately CX's 744 in the "Hong Kong World City" Livery, i'd add some pictures but I'm being very lazy tonight.

This may be a little retro . . .

But my vote definitely goes to the BRANIFF DC-8 in the CALDER color scheme.

AerOflyeR,

Just added you to my respected users!! Thai has the best Livery in the world! Their logo is the best, you forgot to mention if you look close at their winglets that they also contain that great logo! That special paint scheme is good as well.

The best special paint scheme, hands down, is Qantas' Wunala Dreaming on their 747-400ER. Everytime I see that plane it takes my breath away...

I've always loved both Braniff ones...N1805 (Calder DC8) and N408BN (Calder 727). Too bad the third Calder (Flying colors of Mexico) never ended up flying.
