Effective for the period June 2 - October 29, AC's YYZ-TLV flights will have a major sked change. The flights have operated at virutally the same times for several years now.
AC886 YYZ-TLV currently 2355/1750 changing to 1720/1115
AC887 TLV-YYZ currently 0040/0610 changing to 1245/1805
While the airline is shoring up the ground time at TLV for optimum utilization, it will impact same day connections in one or both directions to cities such as PIT/SEA/MEX/PHX/MSY/MKE/MSP/SJO. The advantage of the current operating times is that they connect same day to every destination in the AC network to/from YYZ. Don't what they're thinking once again--maybe anticipating more O & D summer traffic, given the fact that the LY codeshare on the route is about to expire.
Effective with the Fall/Winter Schedule, the flights times are scheduled to revert back (unless hugely succesful) with NEW flight numbers. AC086/AC087.
Other Summer News:
Daily YVR-EWR A319
3 Weekly YVR-HNL B762..reduced & definitely no local traffic on the YVR-HNL-SYD sectors
Very strong vibes about major growth to South America. CCS (despite political problems of late) LIM & UIO. Increases to SCL/EZE..can't keep up with passenger and cargo demand.

Any news about SAN? What exactly is AC's position on the route? Suspended indefinitely? Pulled out completely? Has a clear reason for the suspension come out yet, given that the route seemed to have been doing very well?

Regarding 2nd frequency YUL-LAX for S2004. It has been proposed by Marketing, but according to LAXTRAC nothing in print or confirmed yet. Think it's just a formality, as this is a strong summer route, and can easily support a 2nd frequency. Frankly 797/798 should be an A320 at the very least.
