With F-OHLO being returned the IFLC, MEA's fleet age has jumped from 1.3 years old to 0.75 years old. The A321's are 0.7 years old and the A330's are 0.8 years old.
F-OHLO was painted all white by MASCO sometime in December (I THINK) and is being prepared to go back to it's leaser the ILFC. It is seen at Frankfurt.

F-ORMJ was delivered to MEA on November 11 2003 but I belive that it was delayed untill December till it first hit Beirut tramac.

MEA staff had a small party at BEY and TLS for the delivery of the first owned aircraft since the Boeing 707's, El-Hout is a great CEO. You can see him in these photo on planepictures.net at both ceremonies.

Jamil Itani, if are looking at this, althought I don't know you, NICE PHOTOS. You have made Lebanese Aviation fans very happy.

Ladies and Gentelmen,
We all know that MEA have gone through a lot in the 70's 80's and 90's and now they deserved and earned the yougnest fleet in the world

MEA YOU MAKE LEBANON PROUD

May God Bless MEA in the years to come.

Thanks, ToBEYwithMEA, that's really cool.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy A young fleet is always something an airline can be proud of.

Is it true that MEA has been employing some Estonian girls as flight attendants? It read so in a local newspaper here. Nice to know they are flying on such nice brand new planes.

Regards,
OV735

I did not know that. There are a lot of people that would kill to be a MEA hostess/host in Lebanon. Hey, it'll be cool to see Estonian girls on the planes.
BA might help you on this one or the other guys.
OV735 I have been to Estoina and your country is very nice.

I love the MEA paint-scheme, looks pretty on an airbus!
So when is MEA going to extend it's long distance routes?
What we in Germany need are better flight times so that we can use BEY as a hub.

MEA's staff is mostly Lebanese and the company doesn't hire foreigners. Not that they have a policy against it, it's related to the simple fact that the local work force meets the company's demands in full.
Other Arab carriers in the Gulf region employ a lot of Lebanese, probably Estonians and others too.

I've been to Estonia too, a very long time ago though. Very beautiful country. Those were the days of the Tu-134s, now they have 737-500s with a great c/s.

When I went to Bharain there were a lot Estionia shop keepers and on Gulf Air there were a lot of Estionia hostess.
When I went to Dubai, on Emirates, there were a lot of Russian Hostess and Estiona too.

Anyway, good for MEA.
When I went to Estionia I went on a Luftansa A321.

You can use http://www.rzjets.net too. The good thing about this site is that you can update it yourself. MEA's info needs updating.
I also use http://www.airlinerlist.com

Bill Harms had the best site of all.
