Other than airlines, what are other aviation terms that are pronounced miscorrectly?

I've always wanted to know...

Is Juan Trippe "trip" or "tree-peh"

The L-1011 Tristar, is it El ten eleven try star? I always used to call it the el one oh one one, but it looks like I'm alone on that one.

and airports too...

GRU?

GIG?

EZE?

How you do really pronounce those names?

I say Juan Trippe as Juan Trip

You're not alone. I, too, say L-1-OH-1-1

I can't help you with the airports. I'm going w/ LAN767Andres on this.

I'd like to comment on the pronounciation of KUL especially in the British and American media.

Kuala
This is easy, hardly anyone gets this wrong, sounds similar to "koala" bear.

Lumpur
Many anglophones get this wrong because it's pronounced as if it's an english word, i.e. Lump + Purr. This is why you'd get many typos as "Lumpar". The correct pronounciation is Loom-Puuuur.
