Very interesting article. However, I do find Richard Quest insufferable – I can hear him speaking in his writing, and that drives me mildly insane.
Anyhow, interesting to note that the picture that accompanies this story,
is of a Delta Boeing 777. Certainly not a cabin you'd encounter on a Star Alliance-operated flight.
Additionally, I think it's pretty weak that most of the flying is on Singapore Airlines – and on many of the most comfortable aircraft in the respective airlines' fleets! I'd like to hear about ol' Quest's experience in the center of a block of five on that United SFO-LHR service. Or, better yet, in a block of four on a packed United LAX-SYD flight.
Singapore Airlines is just too prissy for an article that details the "struggles" of the business traveler!

It seems like a waste of time and money to me. What earth shattering revelation is he going to come up with? Flying is tiring? Economy is cramped? Jet lag sucks?
What exactly is the point here?
