I just read an article about the A380 wings. It seems like they will have had an exciting journey of their own of about 500 miles before they even get mated to the fuselage. It starts with a short road trip on a wacky 96 wheel trailer to the river Dee, then by barge to Mostyn Docks, in North Wales, then ship to Bordeaux, then canal barge and finally road to Toulouse. I’d hate to be in charge of logistics at Airbus!

Wilco, the article said the journey would start 'in the next few weeks'. A little vague, but since the maiden flight is less than 12 months away, it can't be long.
