It came to my mind which Airline pay the best salaries in the industry to their pilots (and why not F/A), since few days ago I red in one forum that one LatAm retribute theirs 9 times the average salary.
I know that this post is a little difficult, since they pay different if they fly domestically or international (and maybe according with the aircraft), but I am curious about which ones are more generous (in average terms) than others.

It's based on what country the airline is based in, the type you fly, your seniority, and position (first officer or captain). In the USA, or possibly the world, Delta AirLines has the highest paid pilots. IIRC, the next-highest paid pilots are at NW, some 30% below DL pilots' salaries. Unfortunately, these salaries are contributing to DL's increasingly unstable financial situation .

Do you guys remember when LH pilots striked (1 or 2 or 3 years ago) because their salaries were quite low compared to some other carriers? I think they demanded for a 10% plus increase...? How did this end?

How much is a best salary - depends where you live, my dear little brains...
First of all, how much income tax you pay on that salary.
Next, you may be in USA and have a (before tax salary) of $10,000, be in a 35% income tax bracket, have to pay $1,500 for your apartment rental, and $1,000 for your car and car insurance payment.
Or you may be in... say Bangladesh, making a salary of only $3,000, but with a house (or palace) rental of $300, with cook, servants and maids, and have to spend $200 for your car with a driver (a taxi)...
All is proportional depending WHERE YOU LIVE. Delta may have the highest salaries in the industry worldwide. Yet Air France has the highest value in salary + BENEFITS PACKAGE, and some third world countries, you can live like a king (or maharajah) with an airline pilot salary.
Got that...? - If not, go eat your McDonald and watch your Simpsons.
Tonight, I have a Châteaubriand dinner, and I have tickets to the opera.
(in what you call a third world nation...)

Traditionally the Airlines that pay their pilots the highest salaries are usually the ones that are BANKRUPT the next year. UA's pilot union has prided itself for years on setting the precedent for Pilot salaries, however, I bet you two years from now any of those same pilot's will just be happy to have pilot job.
AA, DL, not looking so hot either.
What do all of the major players (except WN) have in common. Their pilots belong to ALPA, whats the difference between them and Jet Blue, Southwest, and Frontier. These proven successful carriers have their own pilot's union. It is ironic to me that in the summer of '00 UA pilots "slashed the throat of their 'beloved' airline to the point where they could not stop the hemmoraging" because their families could barely survive on their Mid 1990's wages, for most this was over 6 figures. But the pilots of F9 after 9/11 volunteered pay cuts to save their beloved airline.
