Embraer Takes Order for 16 ERJ 145s from Republic Airways Holdings

São José dos Campos, news released to media on March 15, 2004 – Embraer announced today an order from Republic Airways Holdings, parent company of Chautauqua Airlines, for 16 ERJ 145LR regional jets. Deliveries will begin in May and run through September 2005. At list price, the order is valued at US$ 320 million.

“Today’s announcement reflects the continued strong market acceptance of Embraer"s family of regional jets. Our customers benefit from the excellent operating economics, reliability and unmatched flexibility, a combination that has led to the deserved popularity of the Embraer ERJ family,” said Maurício Botelho, President and CEO of Embraer. “Republic Airways Holdings is a valued customer and, through its subsidiaries, is the third largest operator of Embraer aircraft worldwide.”

“The addition of 16 Embraer regional jets to the fleet of Chautauqua Airlines will offer expanded business opportunities with Delta Air Lines as well as other partners,” said Bryan Bedford, Chairman, President and CEO of Republic Airways Holdings. “This order will allow us to further strengthen Republic Airways Holdings’ position as an industry leader in delivering high quality, low-cost regional jet lift to our major airline partners.”

DCI did announce just the other day that Chautauqua would be taking on 16 more jets on their behalf.

Good for both Chautauqua and DCI.

It is good to both Chautauqua to join with EMB-145LR. So when will deliveries to Delta Connection?

Chautauqua already has a very large fleet of EMB-145LR's.
