Hi,
I'm from Montreal and will be in Toronto on March 27th and 28th (arriving on Friday and leaving Monday). I'm wondering where is the best spot to take pics of AirTransat A320s. Can anyone help me? I will, of course go, at T1, but is there something else I should not miss?

Thanks
poumat
P.S. If anyone wants to join me, I'll be glad to have some company.

Hey there..
I hope you enjoy your trip to Toronto!
lately there are not as many good spots to spot from like there were in the past.
Terminal 1 top of old parking garage is good..(is it still in use??)
however TS uses Terminal 3 so not sure how good it will be.
I am not aware of any spot where you will get a good view of T3.

I used to go to the Wendys nearby Terminal 3 (right on approach path of the runway) at around 3-4pm and see all the heavies come in. In the summer there are some picnic tables out there..to have lunch and watch..sadly the large boeing parking lot cannot be used anymore... Sad

There are some nice spots around the airport, and I'm sure somebody will be around to show you around. We'll see as the time gets closer. But I do recommend visiting the roof of T1, as that vantage point is getting very close to disappearing. All the best spots unfortunately are going away. Enjoy your trip to Toronto, and keep us posted as the time gets closer.

Oh, and perhaps a few of us will go for a beer or two after to celebrate your birthday, Chris.  Big grin

I was on the T1 roof last week and the TS A320 went right by. If you have a camera with a good zoom, anything is possible.

I will be busy this weekend or else I would also be out there.

Have fun.

If you have benocullars I suggest you go by the Fedex building. There is a road that goes right bye it and there is a hill that is beside that road that when you climb it you get a pretty good view of T3. I think the wendy's location was already suggested.

It means he has another planet to circumnavigate riding a goat or similar physical feat to accomplish that weekend, but he'll try and make it sometime in the future!  Laugh out loud

You're getting married to three women!?!?!? I guess it's more than a full time job putting up with you on a daily basis, so that must be divided by three women.

J/K Neil, congratulations.  Big grin

GEE THANKS GUYS! With well-wishers like you......  Smile We're only engaged, I would not say it's that serious yet.

If only I can shake her for a few hours to check out the derelicts at LAS, I'll be happy.
