There was a flypast over London today at 1500ft over Westminster Abbey in commemoration of Coastal Command from WW2. Apparently with the sound of loud low-flying aircraft unexpectedly (it was a RAF Nimrod and 2 Tornados) there were a few anxious looks from the public and office staff.... . I don't think it was publicised very well....hehe, wish I saw it.

4 Tornados flew over my house in formation once after doing a fly-by for the Royal Air Forces Memorial near me, it scared the life out of me but I still ran to the window, I can only imagine what that must of been like over London! I only found out about it today too, doesn't seem to of been publicised at all.

you soon get used to it! My house overlooks the solway firth, and we get a tornado or two practicing low level flying every afternoon. Todays flight sounded closer than normal, missed it unfortunately!

In the Lake District here and we get plenty of RAF low flying right over our town (The aircraft disappear out of view behind the hill the town is built on!). Even better is when you're going over Shap Fell on the M6 and a couple of Tornados go past in the valley BELOW you - know a few people who were all over the road when they saw that!
