New A330, ship number 3306, will be delivered TLS-MSP on March 20th - flt nbr NWA 9868 - sked to leave TLS around 9am, so noon or so into MSP. The A320's are coming out of storage - 2 of them returned to MSP from Marana today - ships 3225 and 3235. The others - 3229 and 3234 - should be following shortly. Will go in for M-checks before reentering service. Nice to see this. (And no, the 5 757-200s will remain in storage for now.)

What exactly is an M-Check? Is this Airbus' designation code for a check? I know Boeing calls theirs C/D checks, McDonnell called theirs 15K/30K. Any info on what Airbus calls their check name if you know what Im trying to ask??

Just to make sure... is this the ship that's scheduled to operate the FCO-DTW seasonal service, or the fourth AMS-DTW seasonal flight?

Actually the next route to be upgraded will be DTW-CDG starting April 4th.

As of April 4:
6 operational spare

seasonal DTW-FCO doesn't start until mid-May
the 4th DTW-AMS starts on April 4 (47/48), the 9:30pm departure from DTW, but it will operate as a DC-10-30 for a while until the 7th A330 is delivered

is there a possibility ship 3306 will be ferried through Amsterdam (AMS)?
all other NW A330's passed through AMS on delivery!

This is great news for NWA. Lets hope this next year will bring back more of our aircraft, more of our employees, and lets hope that all U.S. airlines start the climb back out of this downturn.
