Just a quick question for the board:

Which terminal does United use at Heathrow? I will be going there in a week, and am going take a pre-booked cab into town. Need to know where to tell him to pick me up.

Thanks,

Hamlet69

They operate out of the lovely and modern Terminal 3.

Have a good trip,

Yes, lovely and modern T3 in the middle of a multi-million pound renovation. Looks horrid now, but won't in a few years! (thats the plan at least)

When you come out of customs and through the World Duty-Free shop, the meeting point is to your right.

Safe flying,

bring your walking shoes. another airport with obscene amounts of walking. CDG & DXB are two other airports that some training at the gym prior to your flight will give you a leg up on the little old ladies who have collapsed from exhaustion trying to make their connections.

I have to agree, those early morning walks from the seemingly far out UA arrival gates can be quite a haul after flying overnight from the States. Safe flying!

Those terminals in LHR are so big. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes.
You have alot of walking to do.

Was just there times last week and I agree ....wear COMFORTABLE shoes...although moving walkways do help! Terminal 3 is quite large and can get quite irritating.....

Best of Luck

Om Shanti

Oh yeah.. I'm going to be one more person to tell you how obscene the walking is. I was there last week.. we got in at 7 AM from the States quite hung-over.. had to clear customs.. walked all the way over to Terminal 1 to check our heavier carry-ons since we had a flight leaving out of T1 later that day, then walked back down to the Tube to go into town for a few hours. Let me tell you, it took something like 20 minutes just to get over to T1 from T3. (And yes, I know there's a bus & whatnot.. but I didn't feel like finding the bus; I figured I'd just walk it. lol!)

You made a mistake BCAinfosys, walking from one end of T3 to the other is a marathon itself, but getting to T1 on foot from T3, especially after a long flight is a complete no-no.
