I was checking flights for my sister from DEN-MCO and return, and came across this:

Duration: 3hr 20mn

Flight: 672

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Economy/Coach Class, Airbus A319

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total miles: 1547 mile(s) (2490 km)
Total duration: 3hr 20mn

Thu 25-Nov-04

Orlando (MCO)
Depart 9:00 am to Denver (DEN)
Arrive 10:55 am 1547 mile(s) (2490 km)
Duration: 3hr 55mn

Flight: 671

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Economy/Coach Class, Airbus A320

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total miles: 1547 mile(s) (2490 km)
Total duration: 3hr 55mn

***On the MCO-DEN segment, it says an A320 is to be flown. Is this a hint, or does it just meant that F9 hasn't decided whether it will be an A318 or A319? Although, I've never heard of the 318 being used to MCO. Thanks to all that reply  Smile!

Although their are rumors of Frontier negotiating for A320's, they remain - for the moment - rumors.

I just checked the lfight in question #671 Thursday 25 November '04, MCO/DEN, and it is showing as the A318.

cheers

One of the two MCO flights will be flown with the A318 for the Summer season. Get you cameras ready MCO spotters. I have a feeling it will go back to a 319 by September/October.

I have seen the A318 in MCO occassionally, but it might have been new deliveries getting their PTVs installed

Entries for Frontier that show up as A320s usually mean it's operated by an A318. Obviously the reservations system doesn't have an entry for A318 yet, so it shows up as a generic A320 series. When the code gets translated into a full aircraft description, it does not indicate "series" but rather just A320. Checking Frontier's website reveals that flight is indeed currently scheduled to be an A318.

The 318's have made their way in for the PTV install. Also F9 is not getting getting the 320's as of yet. If they do it will some time next year.
