There is a regularly scheduled 744 from LHR to IAD,

IAD-LHR flt. 918 departs IAD at 1815, arrives LHR at 620 the next day

LHR-IAD flt. 919 departs LHR at noon, arrives IAD at 15:10

there is also a flight from IAD to LAX and back using the 744 regularly.

Hope this helps!

Chris

The opinions expressed here are mine and not necessarily those of Delta Air Lines.

United has operated 747's into LHR on and off since 1991. It first flew a number of its routes with 747-100/200 and 767-200 aircraft when it first got the routes from PA in 1991. It has used the 747-SP until 1995 on the EWR-LHR route.

During the later 1990's, most flights were operated with the 777, except for JFK, which got three daily 767-300's.

Last fall they changed the SFO route from 777 to 744 and recently the SFo followed. More routes such as ORD LHR, IAD FRA and ORD FRA are in consideration as far as I know.

UAL 777s I believe fly ORD-LHR, JFK-LHR, LAX-LHR, and HNL-LHR. Have I missed any? I believe those are the remaining LHR routes. Does UAL still operate their 763ERs into LHR?

HNL-LHR

Nope. Not non-stop, anyway. #934/935 via LAX at one time originated/terminated in HNL.

I believe one of the IAD flights is a 763.
