Can NWA Worldperks Earn Miles On Garuda's Flight?

I went to NWA website today and found that you can earn worldperk miles when you are flying on Garuda...

Is this true?? Does anyone try to earn the miles before??

Garuda is a partner of KLM which in turn a partner of NWA. The same goes for Malaysia Airlines.

Keep in mind that you will not earn Elite Qualifying miles, nor, it appears, Elite bonus miles if you are an elite.

I just discovered this last little zinger after having flown MH LHR-KUL-SIN-KUL-NRT. I'm dissapointed at "losing" almost 12,000 miles.
