Ok time for a personal rant here....

I had the honor to fly on my first ever 747 flight today, on the wings of a United 744 from SFO to DEN. I'll write a detailed trip report about my journey tomorrow, but for now, I just need to salute the aircraft which I have been waiting such a long time to fly on. Needless to say, it did not dissapoint by any stretch of the imagination. It was easily the best flight I have ever been on. Period. What a plane. The 380 won't even come close to it in my opinion. The 744 is the TRUE queen of the skies!

Glad you liked United's 747-400. We stand high with Northwest as one of only two passenger lines in the United States still flying the Queen of the Skies.

you're quite right...no other airplane comes close, and I doubt anything ever will...

The two worst 747 flights I've had are:

No. 1 = Northwest (5 x 742)
No. 2 = United (2 x 744)

Sorry guys but the service is very important to making a flight good and neither of the above carriers have it.

N754PR,
You are one in a million, look how many passengers have flown a NWA or UAL 747 in a one year period. That plane or service doesn't get anybetter.

I almost rode a NWA 747 NRT-PEK but hopped on a UAL 777 instead.

LONG LIVE THE WHALE!!!

I just got back from an Asia trip involving 4 744s (3 of them United). They are great planes. For the short flights such as yours from SFO-DEN, they are a lot of fun. They are so light on fuel they jump right off the runway and get up there very fast.
