Hope those NW DC-10s will fly to HNL enough so I can catch them before they get replaced by the B753s that are replacing them in July 2004.

NWA flight 9751 has a flight plan in for MSP-AMA and will be leaving soon this Friday night. I would expect this plane to return to MSP after being painted, but that's just speculation.

No, its just going for repainting, no maintenance check. Turn time at AMA seems to be 8-9 days. It will go wherever needed when painted - may go to MSP/DTW or wherever. We have even had flights change destination once airborne because of the need to fill in for a broken aircraft somewhere else.

FunFlyer...no, MSP-HNL will remain DC10. The 757-300 cannot make MSP-HNL, they will operate from the westcoast to Hawii beginning June 6th. So relax and enjoy a classic aircraft.

I'll admit it'd be kinda cool to see the DC10 in n/c at the gate before boarding. However, while on board I don't think it'd make the slightest difference (unless NWA is planning on painting their wings red).
