Overhead Crew Rest Question

This is a simple question, but those are the ones I hate to go unanswered. It seems that United, finances aside, has no interest in installing the overhead crew-rest modules, and is sticking with the lower-lobe rest on their 777s.

Is there any disadvantage to the OHC compartment that would prompt an airline to show preference to the lower-lobe option?

The lower-lobe rest area takes up space in the hold that could be used to carry cargo, a good revenue earner. It is a cheaper option than the overhead module because it does not necessitate the re-routing of air-con ducting and control wires for the other aircraft systems that have traditionally filled the large empty space above the cabin.
