Does anyone know what the different roles are of FAs on different airlines, not like purser; but like on a long-haul who serves what and where?

Hi, on VS:

1x Inflight supervisor (soon to be called Flight Service Manager). Overall responsibility for flight and all liason with flight crew, ground staff, engineers and cabin crew. Runs the IFE and makes most PAs to pax. Has a team of Pursers who I manage and develop, flying with them as often as possible to recomend for promotion or provide feedback where needed.

2x Purser (soon to be called Cabin Service supervisors). 1 in charge of Upper Class service and bar paperwork for that cabin. Serves wines and assists with service as necessary. 1 for Premium and economy with same responsibilities for that cabin. All Pursers have a team of crew who they manage and fly with to appraise and recommend for promotion/disiplinary action etc. Some PAs.

3/4/5/6 Senior Flight Attendants (depending on fleet), Usually with 4 years service but could have been fast-tracked for promotion. Carry out upper class service with some responsibility for company paperwork such as service equipment carts with silverware etc. Also serve flight crew.

5-9 Flight attendants (depending on type) Carry out Premium or economy services. Duty free bars and accompanying paperwork.

Thats VS anyway!!

Ooohhh Faux Pas!

Forgot our wonderful Inflight Beauty Therapists! One per flight but will have two on the A380. Safety and Medically trained to the same standard as the rest of us and on some fleets man a door for take off and landing but inflight provide massage and other relaxing treatments to our upper class pax in the "Virgin Touch" area. These are the girls in white uniforms you may have seen.
