Finally going to do the 24 hours of flying required to come to Heathrow from sunny Sydney. After screening 1,000's of photos, looking forward to seeing the additional liveries and minimal separation Heathrow provides.
In Australia we're pretty anal about separation. We're unlikely to see the equivilant of this:

To be honest, sometimes when I am driving out of MUC at night, I can see more than just 6 aircraft coming in. They're all perfectly lined up with their landing lights perfeclty visible. They may not be all on final, but still... (Greetings to the directors in MUC, if one of them reads this!)
I would have expected more than 6 at an airport like LHR
But LHR has disappointed me in the past anyway. I always hope to get into some nice holding pattern before our clearance for finals into LHR, but that was NEVER the case... Wether I'm on the wrong planes or arrive at the wrong times

I should be around in the UK late June early July ( for the football really)- tentatively planning to depart on 7 July. Id love to come on down to LHR one of those days for a meet and spot sort of thing!
Will probably be floating around near EMA as well, but we shall see.
