Did anyone else hear about the auditions for the voice of "TED" for United's new LCC "TED"??? I heard it on the radio this morning on my way to work. The commercial was rather humorous. It featured a guy with a strong "British" accent being randomly selected from off the streets to read a few lines for TED. The auditioner asked the Brit to read the line "Do you know that you can earn United Frequent Flyer Miles every time you fly TED"? The auditioner replied, "That was pretty good . . . the only thing is . . . how bout you get rid of that cooky accent"? And the guy said, "Well I'm British!". It was rather entertaining.
