i was looking at the Northwest In flight magazine and saw the airport map for Amsterdam. It sure looked like that airport has a hell of a lot of gates. How many gates are there??

And that map doesn't show the several dozen positions at the commuter ramp, the dozen or so positions at the cargo ramp and the positions at the general aviation ramp.

I wish I were flying

It's not as big as other major European airports but it is extremely nice and easy to get around unlike CDG.

Schipol is a fantastic airport, I love it. Its like being in a big glasshouse surrounded by aircraft.

There are other ways and there's British Airways

That airport is A M A Z I N G!!!
The Dutch thought that out really well.
The viewing gallery is wide open and you can spot from outside on the gallery itself or comfortably seated indoors at that nice restaurant.
Can't wait to pass through there again.

Definitely my favourite airport in Europe. Few years ago I spent a semester studying in the Netherlands, and once in a week I used to spend an entire day at Schiphol.

I simply love it.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

It is quite big, Schiphol is. So much so, sometimes I think it's too big. Quite a long walk to the gate if you're lugging a lot of luggage, especially if you're down Pier D.

Nice observation deck though. And the scissors bridges are also quite unique to watch.
