Am I seeing things, or does this 757's engines look a bit different than the standard PW engines? I included a picture of a PW-powered DL 757 for comparison.

I believe those are early versions of the rollers used on current 57's.

I say this because I have a few pictures of the RR powered 57 test aircraft and these engines look the same as the ones on the test aircraft.

The engines on B757BJ are Rolls-Royce, RB.211 Series. It's the same series as the one's the American B752 has.

Interesting that while I was looking up the information for this aircraft I found out that this is it's 10th registration! Here's the previous regs:
G-BKRM, EC-108, EC-EGI, EC-321, C-GANX, N501MH, EC-451, EC-FTL, N261PW

Who's using this plane these days? I've seen it many times at PHX, usually parked next to a similarly painted 737. One time I noticed it wasn't there, and then when I landed in PHL, there it was... wish I could've hitched a ride  Wink/being sarcastic

Pace airlines operates it for SportsJet. Is used for the Phoenix suns and Coyates SportJet also Has N737DX which a 737-400. On the engines they are RB-211-C's.

The engines do indeed look different to the standard PW engines, but not to the Rolls-Royce ones. The engines on the aircraft in question are RR RB211-545C, these were the original launch engines for the 757, rated to 37,000 lbs. The RR engines that we're used to seeing on 757s are the higher rated RB211-535E4, 40,100 lbs or the RB211-535E4B, 43,100 lbs

Those RR engines look similar to the ones on the B742/B743s of QF, NZ, BA, and CX.

Similar but not the same, the 7472/4 have a number of versions of the RB211-524 thrust rated from 50,000 lbs upto 60,600 lbs.
