"Foundation For Airborne Relief" - Any Info?

Hello !

Does anyone know of any good sources about the "Foundation for Airborne Relief" that had (or operated ?) a couple of C97s and C133s in the early 70s ?
(Registered N . . . AR and based at LGB)
Where these aircraft actually ever used or just parked ? If they were used, where and when ?
Was this some religiously motivated organization ?
