Airline managers medical... not necessarily... but.
To be a director of operations, you must have (or have held) a captain qualification.
So if you maintain that licence valid, you must pass a medical.
Chief pilots as well, if they continue to fly planes, other than their desks.
Other that, no medical for anyone else.

I realize that you're new to A.net (welcome!) but just because Herb drinks (on occasion) and smokes (all the time), that means the -other- 30,000 SWA employees drink/smoke, or otherwise run an airline that people shouldn't fly?
That's about like me saying that -all- 13-15 year-old A.net posters are idiots because -one- 13-15 year-old made a ridiculous statement.
I trust you can see that BOTH statements would be inaccurate...
