Took a charter USA 3000 BWI- Punta Cana with Apple Vacations, and I was expecting a cattle car. Instead we got a 5 year old A320, leather seats, a hot meal, a Steve Martin movie and flight attendants who were smiling and workin hard. It was the best coach seat flight I've had in A LONG TIME! I think the seat pitch was an inch shorter in the back than in the front, but it was a luxury to not need to connect in Miami, Atlanta, or CLT.
I hope they make a bundle of money and continue their growth. I'm a loyal customer now.
BTW, how did you like Punta Cana? I loved the Dominican Republic (despite its dire economic situation) - I stayed at the Natura Park Resort and took tours of Santo Domingo and, for the kids, Manati Park. Let me say that I heartily recommend USA 3000, Apple Vacations, and Punta Cana.

It is interesting that you said that because the person who owned Canada3000 now owns USA3000
Actually, USA 3000 is owned by John Mullen, the owner of Apple Vacations and Atkinson & Mullen Travel. He and his family also own A&M Resorts, which operates several of the all-inclusive resorts in and around Punta Cana. Angus Kinnear is USA 3000's president, but not owner.
The situation in the DR is terrible, and getting worse. Thankfully, the airport in Punta Cana is privately owned by an attorney in New York, the same guy who owns the Punta Cana Resort and much of the property in the region.

Hey Fanojets and friends,
We liked our resort just fine, the Catalonian. You can't expect that a trip to the DR will be a garden spot outside of your resort. There is not much there. The poverty is there for sure. The trip there, which prompted my first post, was a great start to a great trip. USA 3000 and the Apple Trip were non-stress and a great value.
