Why No Service NWI-BHD/DUB/GLA?

There are currently no services from NWI to GLA, BFS or DUB. Why is this? Is it really due to a lack of demand? Is it due to there being so many flights from STN, LTN, etc.? Has any airline (perhaps Air UK?) operated these routes before? Is there potential for a once- or twice-daily service on these routes, using a prop, like the 66/68-seat AT7?

No airline has ever attempted NWI to DUB. Perhaps the best candidate for the routes are either Eastern using J31s or Aer Arann, using AT4s.

RE could also attempt HUY and INV.

Hi BW,

What is the likelihood of a NWI-BHD and NWI-GLA service?

Would the AT7 be too large an aircraft on services from NWI, even if it was operated by a low-cost, no-frills carrier? This is hypothetical, by the way.

Pe@rson,

I wish I knew, but why isn't there a NCL-MAN flight on 10 July? that would be even better!!!

A NWI-Belfast service would fit into Eastern Airways network nicely if it were to use BFS as opposed to BHD, perhaps with a twice weekdaily J32?

Perhaps bmi regional may consider a NWI-GLA service with an ERJ-135?

Like a fine wine, one gets better with age.

Its strange how BMI and Eastern compete on the same routes to Aberdeen and Manchester.

Do you think there is the demand for two airlines???
