The Future Of Skyteam

There are several rumors about Delta, Aeromexico, and Alitalia declaring themselves bankrupt this year, and some even question their survival. In Asia, Korean Air has lost some ground to Cathay, Eva, and Singapore. I wonder if Skyteam will be able to weather the storm? I sure hope so.

If you are referring to rumors on this forum, they usually don't hold much water. But if Alitalia went bankrupt it would not make much difference as they have technically been operating in bankrupty for years. They don't really add much to Skyteam.

Delta is not very likely to go bankrupt. It's pilots will bring them to the edge and then will concede. They will still be the highest paid pilots in the world!

I don't know much about the financial position of Aeromexico.

Star do not seem to be too troubled by United, Air Canada and US Airways all being on deaths door, so I doubt Skyteam will sweat too much either.
