A little retro, and I think it's brilliant apart from that awful tie/scarf.

Looks better than the old one, which was (at least to me) a "grandma" look on the ladies.

Finally a decent photo! Better than that drawing that was posted on here a few months ago.

I think the uniform is great. Very professional looking! Makes the easyJet 'uniform' look pathetic  Laugh out loud

I read about it in today's "The Sun". I think it looks pretty good considering that it is nearly the same as their 1950's style uniform. It's a thumbs up from me  Big thumbs up. Well done BA!

Call me old fashioned (and I can say this because I am female) but the female FA's need to ware skirts!!!!! The trousers just don’t look British.

Other then that the uniform looks okay, nothing special though.

I think it looks superb!! Nothing like a bit of classy and timeless retro look.
Lufthansa in the early 80's had nice uniforms but they changed those into something quite generic and uninspiring.
Hope the FA's like wearing the new gear.

Love the pillbox hat and scarf. Very chic.

Skirts need to be shorter to give it that "less than frumpy" look.

But then again, who wants to see some dowdy homophobic frump's cottage cheese thighs?

As a retired FA, I think that the new uniform is outstanding! The previous was OK, but this new one will go on forever. It is classic and will look good on everyone.

BA has always had a reputation for professionalism. These uniforms only go to show that British design has come a long way. The late Princess Diana did wonders for the British fashion industry and MacDonald, in an industrial way, is doing the same thing. A terrific looking ensemble - great British professionalism.

I can understand where you're coming from with this statement, however ground staff everywhere will be wearing this and judging from reactions here, the trousers will be well-received. Don't forget that not everywhere has British weather. Try telling an ground agent that she has to walk across the snow and wind swept ramp at YYZ in -30C weather because trousers "just don't look British". The trousers are only a part of the uniform, and I'm sure many will opt for the skirt. If you watch the Lufthansa or Air France crew walk through a terminal, one of the things that strikes you is that not everyone looks the same. And that's interesting in that the uniform is flexible to allow for a bit of individuality. I'm, personally, very pleased that trousers are being offered for females, as are my co-workers who will be better equipped to handle a Boston winter.

That uniform is absolutely awesome!

They look SO classy!!!

My thought was - oh my god, the age of the Stewardess is back!!

Top notch - well done!! I envy the BA staff who get to wear it!!

LH423, I agree about the trousers. I'm sure that many will still choose the skirt, but the trousers look very stylish so it's not a problem.

If the females are allowed to wear trousers, should the males be allowed to wear skirts?  Big grin

Odd, I have seen BA crew in Pakistan and they never were in the "frumpy floral pleated skirt" uniform ever, infact the style was more like this one and I'm talking about the mid 90's, did they have different styles for different routes?

28 Adh214 : I love the hat that is the best part. The British Airways ribbon looks great on the hat. It looks very 1960's. Andrew

39 DeskPilot : Hey, I think it's a classy look. Hope it's comfortable for the crew.
40 Sleak76 : Airmale What you saw is BA's winter uniform. The 'floral pleated skirt' is their summer uniform, their navy blue knee-length skirt is the winter one.
