It was a military charter flight to Europe somewhere could be Iraq or somewhere else. It happens almost every week varies charter for military flights all over the USA where are military bases from.

Spot on, 777jet...In fact AA had a 777 return to DFW from a mission tonite (6 Apr). I didn't look at the entire routing, but the last leg inbound was KPOB (Pope AFB, NC) to KDFW. I'm sure that the big Silver Bird brought a load of grunts back home to Ft Bragg, NC which is located adjacent to Pope AFB.
Hope those grunts were all brought home okay!

It seems that there is an interest in military charters as noticed by this and other posts. Perhaps most of you are familiar with carriers and destinations, if not here are some you may want to regularly check on flight trackers:
